The Company:

This role maintains FTS infrastructure, makes software updates, and responds to system outages. Additionally, this role assists in planning and managing the configuration management activities plans, policies, and processes for a program. Some activities may include software builds and integration into the final product.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer helpdesk calls from users; reset passwords, fix printing, help with email, etc.
  • Install applications and operating systems on company hardware.
  • Work in conjunction with the rest of the IT team to deploy new initiatives to the userbase.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues (in the data center and on the user's PCs).
  • Create thorough and accurate documentation support incidents.
  • Work with third-party vendors on RMA and equipment repair when applicable.
  • Perform system backups and recovery.
  • Help maintain vSphere environment of 100+ VMs (Linux + Windows).
  • Support VOIP phone system, Video Conferencing (Slack, GoToMeeting, Zoom, etc.).
  • Asset tracking review and physical inventory monthly.
  • Manage inventory assignments and updates for the IT department.
  • Help organize equipment and supplies to ensure safety and organization are kept at high standards.
  • Manage ordering and/or shipment for IT group (for example, shipping equipment to employees in other locations).

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in Linux/VMware is a plus.
  • At least 1.5 years’ experience in Active Directory or Azure AD (Experience in AWS/Azure preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and keep accurate records of completed work in accordance with company processes and procedures
  • Must be familiar with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic PC hardware.
  • Industry Certifications preferred (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc)

  • Location: Hybrid – Mainly remote, but may be required to visit the Long Island office on occasion
